Cheesy Metaphors Aplenty
In the same vein as Ashley, I feel too young to be anything I'm doing right now.
I'm doing all this stuff to get ready for France and it's weird cause no one is really helping me with it, or even checking in on it. I feel like I'm just going to end up showing up in a random country in a random city (I guess it can't really be that random, if I picked it years ago), and be alone. I guess I feel like someone should be patting my hand and telling me what to do to get ready and what to do when I get there, and there's not really someone to do it. So, I'm feeling young and helpless today, what else is new?
I was also looking at my shiny LSAT book and it scared me. There's a section called Logic Games... I'm sure they're not like brainteasers, but if they are, I'm screwed. I suck at brainteasers. Plus law schools like the Socratic method, of which I am not a fan, by a long shot. I'd rather not be noticed in class unless it's on my own terms and because I have something mind blowing and brilliant to say (that'll be the day).
I guess I've been running around and doing all this kind of thing on my own for a couple of years now, and I just looked back and found out no one was holding the bike seat :-) I'm probably full of more cheesy metaphors, so I'll quit while I'm ahead. Not that I know if anyone reads this blog anymore, since I have the traveling one set up.

Pretty Odd
It just struck me that it's pretty weird that I'm not going to be in school for a year. I'm pretty used to school by now, I have a couple of years of it behind me. I guess I'll be in school in France, but that seems different, like it doesn't count kind of. Then I'll be wearing office-y clothes and working full time in Austin, so that'll be mucho different.
Not that I'm not excited. It's just strange :)
Just sayin.

So...
I got another internship!
It's this summer, in July, and I'll be working for Ralph Hall (Rockwall's US congressman) in Washington DC! I get paid, and I may or may not get housing money, I forget, and I'm really really excited :-)
Other than that, I've been working and I've kind of been in a funky bad mood for a couple weeks, but I'm getting over it, getting internships that take you away from Old Navy tends to help.
So, hopefully everything works out and my year will be awesome :-)

Recovering
Update time! I guess...
I'm definitely enjoying summer. I'm sitting outside right now (although I have to have my laptop plugged in), in the shade, kind of not sun bathing. I'm also listening to awesome 90s music, which makes life kind of amazing.
I start work next week, on Monday (not tomorrow Monday), and I'm already dreading it, but I think it'll go better this summer. I'm gonna save up a ton of money (and by a ton I mean however much I happen to make) and spend it all in France and buy office clothes :-)
I don't actually have anything to say, not like I ever do.
I've been listening to the Juno soundtrack obsessively, plus the new 90s music I downloaded. I'm reading the 7th Harry Potter, Lost in a Good Book (still), Interview with a Vampire, and the most recent Paste and Spin issues...I love summer.
(I also like to talk in parenthesis.)
